It has come to my attention that some of you are being tardy in the release of your character bios. Consider this a nudge.

Also, this will be the outlet for communication concerning the creation of our history, should you deem such to be necessary.

So agitated, Goldfish! It's my first weekend with decent spare time for writing. Plus, I was a bit uncertain on whether you were done providing background info that would be beneficial knowledge going into the bio writing. Your latest post did confirm details that I wanted to include, so thank you for the added knowledge.
I as well had hoped for the latest knowledge, you are not alone Trenchy! Also, this avenue for discussion is a good idea. I enjoy communications :D *thanks the looming Goldfish* ~Apparent straggler excited for storytime

Are we meant to post our character bios in the main story thread? I am mortified at being found tardy and will attempt to rectify the error forthwith.
The character bio should first be sent via email correspondence, for first perusal and possible editing for said history by myself. Once a green light has been given, writing may commence!
All right! I'll carve out some time this week sometime to put on the finishing touches. This is quite an accomplishment for me I'll have you know. Lately the only writing I do is purely technical work documents that must be written so that someone with less than a high school GED can read them with no questions.
Don't give up on me just yet!
I still eagerly await the character creations of any who wish to join in. Even as the history is underway there will be ample opportunity for jumping in.
New characters have been added, and will no doubt commence their writing of history soon.
    Yay! I'm the first one!
By less than a minute :P

So, if we aren't allowed to manipulate each other's characters, will we eventually have to have some sort of gaming session in order to move the story forward if character storylines converge?
One way to go about it, is that the person wishing to take an action involving another player character, should go about writing it in such a way that leaves the final outcome ambiguous enough that the other character has a say.
    Make sense?
I can give examples should they be needed.

For the present all player characters may write posts directly interacting with other player characters in a way that assumes an outcome, but keep in mind that the other player has the right to veto any action taken involving their character. I will change rule #2 to reflect this.

Of course, as creator of this cage, I have ultimate power over everyone's characters. Muahaha.
Does this mean it is preferred to leave the outcome up to the other player, but it is OK to assume an outcome for now? Or does it mean that we are allowed to just assume all the outcomes until it causes problems?
For now I am hoping to leave that up to the player as to how they wish to write their posts. If another player comes up with a problem with this then we may re-evaluate.
Another character has joined the roster. I am excited to see what you all come up with.

My client will consider joining the mayhem and adding a contribution as soon as I, her representative, am released from finals.

Is the Jasper Bijou that is mined in Gostago an accepted currency outside of that country, or is it an internal resource only?
